Tovan Willey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from the University of Tampa and a master's degree in education from the University of Nevada–Reno. After graduation, she served as assistant athletic trainer and assistant professor for the United States Merchant Marine Academy. She later served as the head athletic trainer at the University of Maine for volleyball, softball, women’s basketball and cheerleading. While at the University of Maine, she had clinical instructor and lecturing responsibilities. Her career highlights include service as the head host ATC for WAC Women’s Basketball Tournament, NCAA championships and WAC volleyball tournaments. Tovan has been with Gwinnett Medical Center since July 2009.
