Tim attended Georgia Southwestern State University
on a baseball scholarship. While at GSW, he earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in exercise science and wellness with an emphasis in nutrition. He
completed a year-long paid internship at Disney Wide World of Sports and Doyle
Baseball as the lead strength and conditioning coach, where he worked with
professional (advanced rookie ball, A and AA) and NCAA Division I baseball
players.
Tim earned his second Bachelor of Science degree from Valdosta State in sports medicine/athletic training. While at Valdosta State, he worked rotations in varsity football, baseball, the student health center, Lowndes County high school and tennis. Tim completed a six-month clinical internship with Houston Medical Center in Columbus, Ga. After graduation, he worked as a physician extender for a large private orthopedic practice and then as the head athletic trainer/assistant athletic director for Middle Georgia College, a NCAA Division I junior college where he managed care for 14 teams. Tim is the manager of the Sports Medicine Program. He has been with Gwinnett Medical Center since January 2007. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the Georgia Athletic Trainers Association. Tim recently completed his Master of Healthcare Administration degree.
