Director, Sports Medicine Program and Concussion Institute at GMC-Duluth
Tim attended Georgia Southwestern State University on a baseball scholarship. While at GSW, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Wellness with an emphasis in Nutrition. He completed a year-long internship at Disney Wide World of Sports and Doyle Baseball as the lead strength and conditioning coach, where he worked with professional (advanced rookie ball, A and AA) and NCAA Division I baseball players.
Tim earned his second Bachelor of Science degree from Valdosta State University in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training. While at Valdosta State, he worked rotations in varsity football, baseball, tennis, the student health center and Lowndes County High School. Tim completed a six-month clinical internship with Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Ga. After graduation, he worked as a physician extender for a large private orthopedic practice and then as the head athletic trainer/assistant athletic director for Middle Georgia State College, a NCAA Division I junior college where he managed care for 14 teams.
Tim is the director of both the Sports Medicine Program and the Concussion Institute at Gwinnett Medical Center-Duluth. He has been with GMC since 2007. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the Georgia Athletic Trainers Association. Tim recently completed his Master of Healthcare Administration degree.
