Mindy Simmons earned a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science from the University of Tampa. After graduation, she worked at the University of South Florida and then St. Petersburg High School. She returned to school to earn a master's degree in education from Elmira College in Elmira, NY. After earning her degree, she accepted the position of assistant athletic trainer at Clayton State University. She has experience working with many ranges of skill levels and a variety of sports from Tampa Bay arena football, NCAA Divisions I, II and III soccer and basketball teams to high school football, wrestling, softball and baseball. She has been with Gwinnett Medical Center since December 2007.
